Midweek Update Is Still Moving About

Ugh... well, that answers that question. Yesterday I got word that the mysteriously vague training session (something about customer service, though they won't provide details) will be tomorrow in Concord. I don't mind the drive, but I'm REALLY not looking forward to the session. It's supposed to last four hours, and if there's going to be role play involved (which I absolutely detest as it serves no purpose in my learning -- just have me DO the damn thing or use a test environment to try it out), they will be dealing with Cranky Jonc by the end of it. I'm also of the mind that this was put together as a Personal Project for some higher-up manager who hasn't been client-facing in ages. I could be wrong, but I would not be surprised if I was right. And of course I'll be going back there NEXT Thursday for our quarterly meeting. Joy.
ANYWAY.
Despite all the distractions of Day Job travel, I'm still trying to get In My Blue World finished before the end of the month. I might not make it, but I think I'll get very close enough for it to matter. Which means that my writing process will be shaken up just that little bit once I move it to the evening writing session for revision. The Apartment Complex work will move to the afternoon. (Whether I'll use the opening at 750Words left by IMBW for something new or just as a word playground, I'm not sure. But we'll deal with that when we get to it.) I'll be stupidly busy for most of July and August, but it'll be a *good* kind of busy, at any rate.
Not much else to report at this point. Hope everyone's having a good week!
