Meet the Lidwells:  The revision for this one is going a hell of a lot faster than I expected!  I know it's mostly due to the fact that I'm not carving up and rewriting big chunks of bad writing this time out.  But I'm already right about at the halfway point, which surprises me anyway!  The most work I've had to do so far is extend an important scene (I felt it wrapped far too quickly and didn't completely make its point), change a character's first name, and some minor continuity cleanup.  Other than that, I've just been cleaning up the dialogue.  I'm hoping to get this one done by the end of the month.  At that time I'll finally get the cover nailed down and the book will be ready for uploading to Smashwords and elsewhere! :)

The Apartment Complex Story (as yet untitled): In case you're not on Twitter, I made it official: the outlining has commenced for the next project!  What I'm doing here is nailing down all the plot points that I'd come up with already on 750Words and putting them in some semblance of order on the index card outline.  Once that's done, then I can expand on it, insert subplots and other bits of info and whatnot.  Then I can start on the writing proper!  I'm still up in the air on the writing...I'm half tempted to write this one longhand, but we shall see.  As for the title...this has to be a first.  I usually have some kind of title for my project, even if it's a stolen song title as a placeholder!  I've a feeling this one's not going to come to me until pretty late in the game, once I've already written most of it.  [Side note: I also have ideas for the cover, which include possibly hiring out an artist for the first time; I know exactly what I want it to look like, but it's going to need a pro.  Specifically I want it to have a manga-like cover, so I'm looking around at a few webcomic artists I follow whose style will fit.  It'll cost me, but it'll definitely be worth it.]

I've been trying to actively limit my time online lately, because passively trying to do so doesn't seem to be working all that well.  Which basically means I need to make myself busy.  If my Day Job has me by the neck, then hey, there you go, but...I'm talking during slow times.  This is partly why I started the AC outlining earlier than I'd planned.  I need a distraction to keep me from the distractions!

Anyhoo.   Keeping busy, doing lots of writing.  Things are going well. :)
