jon_chaissonSo I'm listening to Live 105's Top 105 of the year, and it's an interesting mix. Unfortunately I missed the first twenty or so songs--I think they started at around 10am, around the time the morning show normally ends--but I can deal. No, really! ;)
The amusing thing is that about half the playlist is packed with songs I've heard of, but I don't remember them ever playing the songs, at least when I listened to the station. Then again, this is a station that tends to play Rage Against the Machine, the Chili Peppers, Sublime and that one MGMT song (the one I'm ambivalent about) every hour on the hour. Once I started paying attention to them, I always thought that the voting on these sorts of countdowns wasn't really rigged, but was more along the lines of the top 20 having a jillion votes each but everything else only getting less than 20 votes. So basically, a top twenty with the rest of the countdown as filler to make the numbers add up to the station's frequency. ;)
