[Weekend] Last Day of Vacation
Mar. 8th, 2009 09:48 amI'm currently plugged in on my work laptop, just to check in, clean out my inbox, and make sure the thing doesn't need any weird system updates (and also to sneak a peak at the main EDI inbox to see if there are any critical issues I'll have to deal with when I return tomorrow). I've moved pretty much every clock and watch in the house forward an hour. I'm currently having my morning cuppa joe. I've got some ideas for an RTS post brewing on an open doc. Mythbusters is currently on TV, and they've been playing the first four Harry Potter films on ABCFamily all weekend.
Over the past week, we've gone to two museums (on the same day), bought yarn, bought books, gone through the rest of our books to cull stuff we don't want, gone to the symphony, watched many movies on either the Roku, Netflix, or on TV, ate out at many of our favorite places, had the best ice cream in the city, gotten my haircut (finally!), drank more coffee than we really should, gotten a lot of walking in, cleaned the apartment, seen Watchmen, and slept in as late as we could (which really isn't all that late).
Sure, I'm kind of bummed that today's the last day of my vacation, but I'd like to think I got a lot done and enjoyed myself doing it (even the haircut--it's very amusing getting schooled by a funny older Chinese lady who thinks I waited too long to get it done). I still feel as though I should have gotten more writing done, but even that was a good vacation--being away from that and not stressing out over it was definitely worth it.
So yeah, I think this vacation was a WIN. :)
More later...
