Sunday Morning Coming Down
Jun. 24th, 2007 09:21 amHey ho...
Well, it's the last day of our vacation, and oddly enough I feel ready to head back to work. Not that I'm looking forward to answering phones again, but at least I don't feel like I'm dreading it like I may have in the past. Either way, it's time for me to get back into the groove of things after a week of slacking off!
So, to recap, things we did this week:
--shopped at Gilroy Prime Outlets
--visited Berkeley
--saw the Osamu Tezuka exhibit at the Asian Art Museum
--visited Japantown
--went to see Paprika
--finally visited a local corner coffeehouse (twice!) and deemed it excellent
--watched quite a few dvds
--weeded out our book and dvd collections
--got a lot of walking in
--drank more coffee than I really should have
We didn't get everything done that we might have wanted to do, but then again we did a LOT of stuff to begin with...and next weekend we'll finally set up a reservation at Bix Restaurant for our anniversary. Thanks to my sister for the gift certificate for it! :)
Other than that...not much to report. Didn't get much writing in this week, but I didn't plan on getting much done anyway, using the time instead to relax and have fun. I'm torn between continuing the going to work early and writing or just forcing myself to get some work done here before I leave...I'll have to think about that. More about writing at my writing blog!
On tap today: we might head up to Washington Square Park to enjoy the day, hang out while Emm knits and I do some writing or reading, and we may end up stopping at our usual haunt (Tiernan's, natch) today as well. I forgot to pick up quarters yesterday, so I may or may not be able to do laundry (no real big, as I did some on Wednesday, so there's not much) (which reminds me, I should have gotten more quarters so I can get our car washed, which it desperately needs). Other than that, there's the LGBT Pride Parade going on today which is being shown on our local TV station (and George Takei is one of the special guests of honor!), and there's always more writing to do... :p
Hope everyone has a spiffy day!
