Update: Belfry 3000--we are GO!
Apr. 16th, 2006 11:10 amThanks to
emmalyon and her self-proclaimed 'leet research skillz', we got the external HD to run correctly, so now I have access to not only my writing but also my music! w0000t!
First off, though, is the rather imposing job of going in and refiling a lot of the music I have on the computer. About 20% of it is misplaced and/or incorrectly tagged, but most of that can easily be rectified. I think only 5% of all the tracks need to be renamed.
One little sidetrack this morning: looking at one of the icons in the lower right corner, I found that I can really tweak a lot of the sounds on this computer in a lot of interesting ways, including using an equalizer, various environments (from "padded cell" to "arena"). Definitely yet another toy for me to play around with...
Anyhoo!
I told Emm how excited I was to also get a new flat-screen monitor, as I now have a lot of flat space on my desk, which means two things: A)I can write longhand at my desk if I so desire, and B)Emm can use one of her laptops here if need be.
All of this is rather amusing, being that I still haven't run MSWord yet, which is what I really should be doing right now...
