Saturday Morning

A lot to do today.

I have to run up to the post office and not only pick up a package my sister sent me but also to send two things out that I sold on eBay. After that I'm coming back home, getting in the car with Emm, driving down to Colma to get the new 'puter, which is waiting for us at Best Buy. (I still can't believe I paid less than I did for this computer, AND I got a new monitor and photo printer out of the deal...)

After that, it's a long afternoon of finishing up deleting/moving/copying more stuff from the hard drive of the old computer and onto the external. Or just deleting some of the programs I have on here that, as much as I'd be nice in keeping them on there for someone else, would not be the safest thing to do. I just don't want to forget anything that might aid in identity theft, y'know? :)

So yeah, I'm retiring the Belfry 2000. Had it for a little under three years. It's treated me well. :p

Belfry 3000 is up and running...sort of

Wahoo! The new puter is up and running and we've been spending the last few hours reconfiguring it, tweaking it, and emptying some of it out (read: getting rid of AOL RIGHT QUICK. ). The only problem we're having is trying to get it to read my external hard drive. Emm just found what might be a possible fix for it, we'll give it a try. As long as we get that drive working, I'll be happy, because A)it has all my writing on it (well, I have it on the Memory Stick too, but still...), and B)it has all my music on there.

Oh, and the default font for IE is different, so things seem to be easier to read. I never got around to figuring out how to switch that...
