THOOMTHOOMTHOOM
Apr. 18th, 2006 04:54 pmOkay, now that I've calmed down from the excitement of getting a new computer, I remembered something I wanted to post.
I'm sure you've heard us talk about our wonderful rattling window, the one that shakes when a diesel truck stops at the light below. Then there's the occasional hoopty that has music blasting so loud that we can actually hear the song CLEARLY even though our windows (and theirs) are closed.
The fact that most of the time the music is rap doesn't surprise me. It is amusing, though, when I hear something like "Disco Inferno" (no lie--I heard that one on Market Street). Serious cred point loss on that one, dude.
Then there's the fact that when we picked up the computer, we stopped at BevCo down the street, and as we pulled into the parking lot, there was a truck behind us BLARING music. Let me just say that you know when someone has their music too loud when YOUR car vibrates. :p
Nonetheless, this neighborhood isn't busy to the point that it's noisy, but when we do hear music blaring, it's always a unique experience. I only wish we had the same kind of audio hookup so I could crank up something like, say, classical. :p
