Simple enough question...
Dec. 27th, 2005 01:30 pmDear USPS;
Is it really so hard for the delivery man for my building to actually go out of his way to buzz us and say we have two packages instead of saying 'hell with it' and dropping two of those lovely peach "Sorry we missed you" slips in our box without even bothering to buzz? We were here all day on the 24th. Why didn't you buzz?
I understand that it is/was the Christmas season and you'd rather be at home drinking coffee and staying warm instead of being out in icky California rain. I also understand that our names weren't on the pager for the first few days we were here, unbeknownst to me. That second thing should have been mentioned to us by the property managers, but I figured we caught it in time, and various boxes HAVE made their way here.
But really--
WHY HAVEN'T WE GOTTEN
sleepingdragon'S PACKAGE YET, FOR PETE'S SAKE?!?? SHE SENT IT LAST MONDAY!!!
Oh, and while we're at it, if someone goes out of their way and pays extra to make sure that a package gets there by the 23rd, I'd like to know why IT'S STILL NOT HERE ON THE 27TH.
So I ask a simple enough question: is there really an aversion to dropping packages off here? If so, please tell us. There's one of those Mailboxes Etc. places down the street--we can set something up if you like. But please, if you're going to drop off packages, DO YOUR FRIKKIN' JOB AND PAGE US FIRST.
Thank you.
Your pal,

PS--One more thing:
If you're going to post a 1-800 number on the back of those redelivery sheets, I think you might want to make sure that the number posted ISN'T A NON-ENGLISH, SPANISH-ONLY NUMBER, YOU NUMBNUT.
