More reasons to love this neighborhood...
Dec. 26th, 2005 04:17 pmITEM: Not one, but two neat tv channels that play anime on a regular basis. There's ImaginAsian TV and AZN Television, both channels that cater to the Asian-American crowd. Both have Korean, Chinese, Mandarin, Japanese, and other programming...lots of interesting stuff! AZN had a Project A-Ko marathon last night that was a lot of fun... They're no IMF, but I think we're going to enjoy these channels nonetheless...
ITEM: Cafe Francisco is one street over and one street down from us and makes HUGE sammiches and has really good coffee. And wifi! And it's very inexpensive...
ITEM: At the top of Stockton (if you wish to venture that way...we went up Powell instead and saved our legs a lot of pain) is Washington Square Park. Columbus Ave cuts through a corner of it and that street and its side streets are full of nifty stores and eateries. And Italian restaurants. And Chinese restaurants. And ATMs. And nudie bars on side streets. And Italian restaurants. And Italian restaurants. And Italian restaurants. Did I forget to say there are a lot of Italian restaurants up that way?
ITEM: Great view of Lombard Street just a block or so from the Park. The famous hill is on the upper part of Russian Hill, but you can see it from both Powell and Stockton. Yet another view we can show off to friends. :p
ITEM: There are at least a dozen hotels of varying sizes in the immediate area alone. There is no worry about not finding a place to stay if people come out this way!
Lots of walking done today...
