Home and Dry

emmalyon and I made it home in one piece. All is well on my homefront, the family is of course grateful that I'm getting rid of stuff! :) Stopped in Winchester to visit with sleeping_dragon for her dad's calling hours, glad that we were able to see her then!
On the way home it was storming something fierce. We could see the lightning from Connecticut, actually, and met up with it in New York, just as we were passing the big mall in Nyack. Most of the rest of the trip I spent driving through all kinds of rain (spittin', downpour, and sheets included), and were lucky enough that it had just stopped raining when we pulled into the driveway. I reeeeeally hate driving in nasty rainstorms...
So! Phase 1 of Jonc's Move is done--upstairs and in the front hall. Part of Phase 2 is done, doing a good portion of the garage. The rest of Phase 2 will be finishing the garage, Phase 3 being the cellar and Phase 4 being the old cellar, where most of my crap is. I hope that I can get enough time to get up there and finish everything!!
And Phase 1 of the Apartment Search is underway...looking for apartments via craigslist and other sites. We have a few leads that we're going to follow. Phase 2 is next weekend, when we fly out there for 5 days to do the actual physical search. w00000t! Should be fun!
