Gotta love Mondays
Nov. 7th, 2005 09:18 amNews: I am now situated in my new office on the second floor of the building next door, and it smells like fresh paint. *koff koff* Some exciting things that happened because of this move:
--a room for two people that's roughly a little smaller than my car.
--the maintenance guys redoing the doorstop because they forgot to take into account the door handle, which they hadn't put on yet.
--the door to a room with sensitive files that has no lock.
--being short one internet jack (we need 3, there's only two) so someone has to unplug when we scan
--missing a phone (mine)
--more people around here thinking they can use our scanner as their copier since it's closer (do we barge into your office to use your fax machine? No, I didn't think so!)
On the other hand, it's not too bad. It's easy to get to, I don't feel like we're stranded at the end of some forgotten hallway, the breakroom has a machine that works, and the coffeemaker is snazzy! Can't complain about that. I'm just hoping that they do something about getting another connection so we don't have to unplug!
And, on the list for today:
--Laundry. Loads and loads and loads of laundry. This could take a while.
--Stopping at A&P for some groceries n' stuff.
--Calling a few more of the real estate places and apartment places listed on craigslist in order to set up appointments.
--Unload my stuff I brought down and bring it down to the basement.
--Update my resume and send it off to a few job openings and temp agencies in the SF area.
--Do some more CD ripping/purging.
Gonna be a busy week for me...
