As of 6:30 tonight or thereabouts, summer 2005 will officially be over, and autumn will commence.
Have to say that it's been a very interesting year for me, probably the happiest I've been in a long time, and things are going great.
Things I Enjoyed So Far This Year:
--driving down to NJ to visit
emmalyon before I moved down
--quitting YC
--moving to NJ
--getting well-paid jobs with a lot less demanding physical work
--getting engaged to
emmalyon
--getting married to
emmalyon
--going to Glasgow, Scotland
--starting a new novel
--revisiting some older stories
--meeting new friends
--being able to afford rent, bills and whatnot and still have money left over
--the possibility of moving to CA
Things I Didn't Enjoy, Just To Be Fair
--hitting bad weather nearly every time I drove to/from NJ before I moved down
--hitting tire chunks on the highway and paying $200 for repairs
--Hurricane Katrina
--missing home
--the insane gas prices over the last month
--the intersection of Division and Spruce Streets since they closed off Wootton Street for construction (it's called a STOP SIGN for a reason, people!!!)
--driving in torrential rain
All in all, though, the good vastly outweighed the bad, so I won't complain. ;)
All in all, it's been a great summer and a wonderful year. Thanks to everyone who helped make it so! :)
