Empty Desk Syndrome
May. 12th, 2005 04:34 pmI have twenty minutes left of this job, and I really don't think starting a new batch of invoices would be a good idea. So I'm basically telling the person I'm training (and the person I worked with) all the little nitpicky things that go along with invoice keying. Yeehaw.
My desk doesn't look as bare as it should, but then again most of this stuff was here when I took over the job. The only things on this desk that are mine are my coffee mug and my box of Kleenex. (Authors, please note that I capitalized that ;) )
It seems weird that I'm leaving a job with such little fanfare, considering that most of the other people who worked here were either taken out to eat or had some sort of noisy seeing-off. What do I get? Just my bosses saying Thank You and Good Luck. Much appreciated, honestly...I didn't want a big to-do anyway...just as long as I get paid for my final hours here! :)
Alrighty. Enough dawdling...gonna whip off an email for all who have helped me...
