First off...
Ah, it's great to have LJ again. I was going through withdrawal for some dumb reason.
Now, to business...
I went and saw The Anti-American Film By The Documentary Director Whose Name Scares The Bejeebers Out Of Congress this weekend. Yes, I saw Fahrenheit 9/11. How was it, you ask? Well, first off I was in the front row so I probably have to see it again so Fearless Freep (that's Bushie to you) (5pts to whoever knows where I got that name) doesn't look as big as he perceives himself to be. Second of all, I thought it was quite entertaining. Perhaps even a bit informative.
Yeah, I can hear y'all. "INFORMATIVE?!?? A MICHAEL MOORE MOVIE?!??" Heh. Well hey, taken with a grain of salt, it does put things into quite an interesting perspective. Like how America should actually be called America Inc. or America LLC. :p Sure, there's a lot of X-Files-ish conspiracy floating about. But still--it kind of makes you wonder just what we've gotten ourselves into by letting the man into the White House.
Let me add that Moore is adept at making Bushie look like a complete boob. It's not so much that the Prez is completely incapable of having a complete thought, but that it just seems that he has so many people in financial power doing all the work for him. Added to the fact that I can't look at Colin Powell, Condi Rice or the others in the Peanut Gallery now, not without seeing them as mere talking heads.
Well hey--all in all, a very interesting movie to watch. Take what you want from it, or don't. The movie didn't make me want to swear by Kerry now (or Nader, for that matter). It just made me have less faith in those in government (ours and other countries) who are sorely lacking in accountability and responsibility.
[END OF SNARKY POLITICAL RANT. You can all put your Sharpies away now. ;P ]

On a completely different note:
Check out www.beatallica.org . Beatles songs as performed and parodied by Metallica soundalikes. I believe
lynxreign still has my cd...you can keep it. I downloaded it again. They now have a new ep out! :D
Quite amusing...
