Playing around on Google Earth, I inadvertently found a picture seam. See if you can find it....


The corner of Sutter and Stockton, not quite making sense...

Click on the image so you can see it better. Find Stockton and you'll see that it is bifurcated by a giant BUILDING!! Unless there's a tunnel in this building, this might be the seam...

Then again, this is Nob Hill we're looking at, so there's a good chance that the terrain is actually like that... :p
