This week I have been dealing with an outer ear infection. Not sure how I got it, but it's REALLY DAMN ANNOYING AND PAINFUL. Thankfully it's not inner ear -- I had one of those about 20 years ago and those are even worse. I am currently listening to everything in monaural, which is kind of weird and even harder to filter when there's a lot of noise going on. But I have already visited the doctor a few days ago and hopefully it should heal soon.
Meanwhile, I had that interview yesterday (the one I hinted at the other day), and I think it went well. I'm not entirely sure where I stand on it, as I'd essentially be going "over the wall" (as I'd said to them) from the banking side to the AP side. I explained myself well enough for them to understand that while I might not know the exact platforms and processes they'd use, but I certainly understand the theory and reasoning behind it. I think they were kind of impressed by my bank knowledge so there's that! They said there were a few other applicants they needed to interview so it might take a bit for them to get back to me, perhaps another week or so. We shall see... :)
In other news, I believe I'm about 15 pages left to go in this revision go-round for Diwa and Kaffi! Yay! So once I'm done with that, I think I'll do what I did with the previous book: read the text on my tablet while making longhand notes of what still needs work. I'm probably going to run the book through a few more cycles before I decide to submit it. (Note to self: you may want to also start researching agents and publishers. Heh.)
Hope everyone has a good weekend!
