jon_chaisson | Weekend Update Needs More Coffee

Good morning, all...another weekend is here, and we have little planned except grocery shopping and a visit to the Mission to see VE Schwab at Borderlands. We should probably get out of the house at some point too, just to get some exercise. We've both had somewhat of a nutty week full of phone meetings, wacky email requests, and frustrating interruptions, so a nice relaxing weekend is just what we need.

In other news, I believe I'm getting very close to the halfway point in the final edit of The Persistence of Memories. I'm trying to get at least one chapter done a day so I can make my late-March deadline for the release, and if I keep it up, I should be able to reach it in time. It's still a long book at around 160k, but I'm okay with that, especially as this draft is quite possibly the tightest I can make it. So...when is the third book coming out? I fear that one may not see the light of day until much later this year, because that one has a LOT of work to be done on it. That one's currently 170k+, and it's even too long for me. There's also a lot of chaff in it. That one's going to need some serious TLC before it gets released. Ah well, onward and upward!
