Granted, we just drove about 200 miles (to Sacramento and back, via the North Bay instead of East Bay), ate all kinds of bad food and washed it all down with a late lunch/early dinner at Sonic in Napa, and there's at least thirty degrees' difference between there and here. So I will share with you just a few pictures of our trip to the State Fair:

Aha! Pictorial proof that my Renfroe relatives settled in Humbolt County after the Civil War! Did you catch that fellow's name when you took his picture? :D

I don't suppose you and Emma stopped by any rural cemeteries in Humbolt County and saw any Renfroe names . . . .

Actually we didn't go to Humboldt County...we really wouldn't have any reason to go there unless we want to go through Eureka (not to be confused with Yreka, also in California).

Yeah, that chocolate bacon was...weird. Good, but weird. But not as weird as some of the stuff we had for lunch! ;)
