So for your enjoyment, behold, THE BOXES-O-COUCH:

The two larger ones were about 4' by 2' by 2' (rough estimate), and the smaller one is an additional ottoman that we ordered along with the sofa. So yes...pretty compact and well packed, as the cushions were pretty much shrinkwrapped/spacebagged for minimum taking up of space.
Next, the couch unpacked (minus the cushions and upholstery):

It's basically a GIANT SOFA JIGSAW PUZZLE. Insanely easy to put together, as the pieces have die-cast numbers on them, as you can probably see, and a total of thirty-six screws, thirty-six screw mounts, and eight feet. No glue, just a Phillips screwdriver and some grunting! :p
And now, said pieces put together (all in all, took a little less than an hour):

If you notice the seating platforms have handles on them--they figured, why waste space, when you can have some shallow storage space? Not sure what we'll put under there, but it was a good idea.
And finally, the finished product, at a much larger 6 1/2' by 3' by 3', with the cushions and upholstery added:

The construction was quite easy, but
emmalyon states that preparing the cushions were a bit of a bear since it's pretty much stiff memory foam that's actually bigger than the covers. Other than that, however, it took a lot less time to put together than I'd expected. Soft, comfy, and ready for kicking back and watching football! :)
So yes, Home Reserve definitely FOR THE WIN! :)
