We're going to see this at the Kabuki this weekend. Quite possibly one of the most mindbending yet impressive animes (yes, even more so than AKIRA) I've seen...I'm curious as to how this one will look on the big screen. Hopefully not as squicky/disturbing as the last third of episode 18 (SO totally NSFW...).

I loved Evangelion; I watched it all subtitled, though, and it's really REALLY hard for me to hear the English dub: the original actors were so good that it doesn't matter that I really needed the subs; their performances added so much to the experience. I'd miss them horribly.

For myself, much though I do like it, I would never leave my home and pay to see Evangelion.
