Great post about "backtiming" in the radio biz.

Of course, the only time I really had to do it was when I was on college radio, but even when I was at WCAT I could tell that the satellite station was doing this. Their timing was impeccable, down to about one or two seconds.

I remember doing it as well at my first full time radio job. We had a slew of network things to hit. No recording and slipping in at "around" this was all on the nose.

I hated it at first, then it became second nature.
