There Is a Light that Never Goes Out

I've had Launchcast on my 'puter at work for the last week or so, and they've been playing the new Morrissey live album. Now, the last time a live cd came out was Beethoven was Deaf, which IMO was a bad idea, since the sound quality sucked and the choice of songs was mostly from his least-remembered solo albums.

This new one, however, is surprisingly good. Lots of stuff from the last album, but also a lot of old Smiths songs that he pulls off quite well. I'm thinking of picking it up at B&N today along with the new Porcupine Tree cd (I know, Emm, I know... :p ) and the new New Order, which I also find surprisingly good.

More as I give closer listens to these discs...

Why hasn't my Launchcast been throwing the new live Morrissey at me?

And why did I wake up with "Reel Around the Fountain" in my brain this morning? I don't think I own a CD that the song is on, meaning I probably haven't heard it in five to seven years or so!

New Ben Folds came out today. Already grabbed from iTunes. Very good.

Don't forget to get the new version of Faith too...

Also, grab his iTunes-only track "Bitches Ain't Shit", a cover of an old Dr Dre song. Perhaps the vilest song I have EVER heard. And damn funny.

Seems as though the PT cd has been pushed...again. FEH!

I ended up not buying anything...though I have the B&N member card, I think I can find it cheaper elsewhere...
