...apparently the search for Weapons of Mass Destruction is officially over.

And what did they find? Some spare parts. That's it.

You know, on the one hand I am skeptical about the WMD existing. On the other, I think about the fact that we are searching an entire country for them, not the easiest of tasks. Don't you think it is remotely possible that Saddam got together a team, hid the weapons, and then killed the team so nobody would reveal the location?

Some archaeologist is probably going to be digging in the desert hundreds of years from now and find a giant underground facility with "quaint" machinery and supplies for making weapons.

The evidence so far suggests that he did dismantle/hide/get rid of what weapons he had....back in 1991 when he was told to.

That's what he wants you to think. :)

Well, the possibility had been raised that he suddenly turned around and handed certain elements to Syria. "Here, hang on to these for a while, I'm being searched by the Americans".

That makes sense. That way when we invade Syria they can say that they were just holding it for a friend. :)

See? INMO, they were plotting to invade Syria even from the very beginning. Here is a perfectly good "reason". Sigh...

Erm, no, but I was suggesting that you do... :D
