[Music] Another Good day at Amoeba
Feb. 16th, 2009 05:53 pmOkay, yeah, so it kinda sorta cleared up for a bit, so I decided to go anyway. I sold about fifteen or so cds and a few videotapes and ended up with $50 trade (less than I expected, given there were a few things in there I thought would be worth more, but I'm not complaining). I surprised myself by staying for probably about two hours, which is short for me. And considering getting there and back took a good half hour each way (why must the Haight be a pain in the butt when it comes to transportation?), it felt shorter, but I found a lot, and most of it in the bargain bin:
--Cowboy Bebop: The Movie dvd ($7.99 used)
--Bruce Springsteen, Working on a Dream (the most expensive thing I bought at $16.99)
--The Killers, Day & Age (promo copy at $8.99)
--Throwing Muses, In a Doghouse ($4.99 used) (I came very close to buying a bunch of other TM albums that were in the bin, but changed my mind...I'm sure I'll find them cheap elsewhere at some point, and besides, I'm actually looking for Hunkpapa but no one ever seems to have it)
--Supergrass, In It for the Money (Ltd 2-cd version) and Road to Rouen (both $4.99 used)
--Too Much Joy, Cereal Killers ($1.99 used)
--Lush, Spooky ($1.99 used)
--Bob Mould, Workbook ($1.99 used)
--That Petrol Emotion, Babble, End of the Millennium Psychosis Blues, Chemicrazy, and Fireproof ($1.99 each used) (cool, I just need a cheap copy of Manic Pop Thrill and I've got myself a discography! :p )
So yeah...a lot of late 80s/early to mid 90s albums and one dvd, and after using the credit I spent a total of $14.97. I love used record stores... :p
