We just finished watching Not a Photograph: The Mission of Burma Story on our Netflix Roku...EXCELLENT documentary of one of the best Boston bands ever. And it really made me realize where Interpol got their sound and why I like them so much...and how much they really did sound like early Wire...and how you just don't hear kickass angular punk like this much nowadays. I also have to say I was greatly amused by the high ratio of New England celebrities in this film, both past and present... :p

Highly recommended!!

I love Mission of Burma, past present and future. I'll have to check out the documentary myself.

One of the scenes that cracked me the hell up was Roger Miller explaining how they were auditioning drummers before Peter Prescott came along, and having to contend with snotty Berklee drummers who could fill like nobody's business but couldn't figure out how to play off the beat...and him just turning to them and saying "Get the f*** out of my garage!" :p

Funny in the sense that I've known many a Berklee student that fits that mold all too well... ;)
