This is Officially AWESOME
Dec. 17th, 2008 06:04 pmThose who know my penchant for music know that I've always said that Canada seems to have some of the best alternative bands out there--and not just the Barenaked Ladies. I'm talking about Sloan, Crash Test Dummies, Cowboy Junkies, Men Without Hats, Hot Hot Heat, Our Lady Peace, Sum 41, Nickelback, Finger Eleven...
And THE HIP. That is, The Tragically Hip, quite possibly THE most well known, most-loved band in Canada. I've been a fan since hearing Fully Completely in college, and their most well-known song, Grace, Too, is somewhere high up on my list of BEST SONGS EVAR.
So why do I say all this? Because I just had to share this: I'm on their mailing list, and they've just proved themselves by offering something in their Gift Shop that is uniquely Canadian.
Behold...A Shinny Pack, which includes a tuque, a scarf, and a puck. With a Tragically Hip logo shaped like the NHL logo.
That, my friends, is Officially AWESOME. :)
