I know very little about some of the people on who read my journal. Some people I know relatively well. (Some I know too well. You know who you are.) I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you read me and I thank you for your interest in my words.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they listen in rapture to the love-music of she-turnips." I might feel compelled to mock your musical taste, but I'll certainly remember you.

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. If you would like, post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.

Using carefully measured doses of radiation, combined with a strict diet of certain rocks, I am pre-fossilizing my bones. When the process is complete I will start my formeldahyde soaks to preserve the rest of my body, the final result being an immortal body.

Are you sure this isn't supposed to be in the other post?

Just because one specifically says to make stuff up, doesn't mean this one said to specifically say something true. :)

I really, really really hate asparagus.

It's an acquired taste. I used to dislike a lot of veggies until Emm forced me to eat them against my will made them using Food Network recipes. Damn you, Rachael Ray!!!!

Just to make Head58 happy. :)

I would love to have a small vegetable garden someday.

Why did I just read that as "victory garden"?? As far as I know, our current war hasn't gotten that bad yet...

Asa kid I used to eat pennies.

Not a lot, just once in a while.

Money, man, it goes right through me!

I once had a penny from every year from 1900 to 1984.

So I'm guessing that in 1985 you decided that your penny collection was only worth eighty-five cents and gave up at that point?

No, when I was going through things in NJ I decided I collected enough things and threw them in with the regular change. It was kind of cool having them, but meh. I'll likely get rid of many of my other foreign coins soon, if I can decide what to do with them.

Qdoba's ground sirloin nachos with pinto beans, the hot salsa, and cheese but no sour cream may be my favorite food.

Ooh, that does sound good!! But I'd add the sour cream...everything tastes good with that!

Well, that and bacon, according to [livejournal.com profile] emmalyon...

My father and I danced to Dan Fogelberg's "Leader of the Band" for our father-daughter dance, because that song always makes me think of my dad.

I have had the pleasure of seeing James Belushi and Dan Ackroyd in concert as The Blues Brothers and being not more than 8 feet away from the stage, as well as having James sing directly to me. I could have been on stage with them had I not hesitated when I was motioned up and another chick jumped up instead.
