Longest. Week. EVER.

jon_chaissonGood gravy, this week took frikkin' forever to finish off.
Sure, I should actually be counting down the days I have left at my current position (not including today, five), but it's been so damn busy that it's just taking forever to get here. It's been absurdly busy over the last month and a half, more so than anyone had expected.
The good thing is that I'm able to leave two hours early today! w000000t! Which means I have time to do some shopping that I otherwise had no time to do...
On the plus side, the manager and other people at my new position have already been inundating me with IMs and emails to get everything set up and facilitate a smooth transition. I'm really liking this group--very positive and friendly*.
*My current group has gotten a bit...well...snarky and sarcastic? More on that later...

Date: 2007-12-07 02:47 pm (UTC)I dealt with this at my last company when I got picked for a Tier 2 position, and others on my current team didn't. It sucks.
(At my current company, there was nothing but cheering when I got promoted... I think it has to do with company culture and the nature of the job.)
