Okay, will not give any spoilers, as we have not picked up the book yet, but I'm really looking forward to reading it. Partly because I really enjoy the series, but mostly because the writer in me has been quite impressed by the way JK Rowling has created the universe and preplanned the entire series ahead of time. I'm usually not one for literary deconstruction (in fact I'm usually complaining about doing it in the first place), but this is a series where figuring out how JK put it all together is quite fascinating. And yes, it's more inspiration for me to start a series myself.

We plan on going to the B&N today to pick up our copy. Yay! :)

ETA: After a close call, we have our copy of said book (the register people weren't sure if the boxes next to them were reserved or walk-in copies), along with an HP-themed knitting book that Emm's been looking for. Yay! Emm is now reading the book and offering running commentary. I'm letting her read it first, since I'm a much slower reader (by choice, actually), so I figure within a week or so I'll be jumping in on it.

We're also planning on going to see OotP tomorrow at our favorite movie house! w000t!
