May. 5th, 2007 08:01 pm--For those who are wondering, I figured out the song that's on the Prius commercial--you know, the "ba-ba-ba-ba" song. It's called "Rent a Wreck" and it's by a band called Suburban Kids With Biblical Names. This song:
I love the fact that commercials nowadays are going that extra length to use extremely obscure songs...it just makes the internet that much more fun, what with me obsessing over these sorts of things for days on end. My last victory was a song that AZN TV has been using for an anime promo for the past year or so: "Nevermore Stories" by P.I.C. Keep it up, people, I can take it! :p
--Earlier today as we were walking to Starbucks we walked past one of the cars parked on the side of the road. It looked like an ancient Saab proto-SUV with partially blackened windows...and tiger-print seat covers on the front seats. What do I think of? Some guy in the driver's seat, looking at us going, "Hey....how you doin'?" ;)
--Planning on sending a query out for Love Like Blood within the week or so. See a secondary post about this on
die_joncswerk.
--Note for those who read my flist: You might want to filter it, as I now have a boatload of music-related blogs added to it.
--Job-related stuff: going to lay off griping and whatnot for awhile. Going to do some thinking, and perhaps acting upon things that I should have done earlier. More as this unfolds...
