I am so glad we only rarely use the car. Why? Because SF is proudly (sort of) the place with the HIGHEST gas prices in the nation.

The Shell at 6th and Harrison here is at $3.97.

Let's repeat that, shall we?

$3.97.

And that's for regular unleaded, not the super.

What the hell...?

Mind you, that's the highest here...most stations are at least fifty cents lower, but yeah, it's still way too frikkin' high.  We're lucky enough to depend on public transportation and only fill the tank maybe every two months or so.  If that.  The last time I filled the tank was on the way to San Simeon (that was last month), and I believe we're still at over a half a tank.  Emm's car ROCKS in mileage.

Eeek!

I paid $3.15 today at my regular gas station.

I am soooo thankful I drive a hybrid.

Oi.

I live in the outskirts of Seattle, and we're about to crack $3/gallon again (it got over for a while a few months ago). I haven't checked the inner city stations as I fill up at the place by our house, but I'm certain they're over the 3$ mark.

It's crazy. But obviously crazier where you are.

Is this like golf, where the low score wins? If it is, I will say that here in the Deep South, it is currently $2.47 :^)

It's between $2.46 - $2.66 in Dallas right now and there is no public transportation... ick!

woah...or should I say woe?
We had $2.89 up to $3.25 per.

I only spend max $20 per fill-up, but able to go less and less farther
