It's "This is the Day" by The The. Probably not one you would recognize, but one jonc knows I know all too well. A very unlikely song to be picked my M&M

Ok, cool. I was afraid to ask, because I wasn't sure if this was something that I would be too young to know or not, and I didn't want to accidentally start that fight again. :)

Okay, the song..a little disturbing but nothing I couldn't handle (or enjoy).
But the M&Ms thing? I mean, WHAT? Part of me thinks its cool that someone at M&M said "This Is The Day would make a great song to use for our product" especially the product being something so high profile. But that's really just..I mean, man WHAT?

(although, what the hell is Matt up to lately? Have there ben any rumblings of a new album since NakedSelf?)

Yeah, that version of Panic was disturbing at first, but yet...I couldn't look away...

As for The The...I saw the commercial for it last night, which is basically filled with random after-hours office shenanigans like one of the Ms xeroxing his face, another doing a dance on his desk...I wasn't quite sure where the commercial was going, but hearing that song was like hearing "Lust for Life" on the cruise ship commercials--my first thought was 'do they really know what this song is about...?'

I looked on official site (http://www.thethe.com) but nothing doing...I have no idea what he's up to...

The commercial is that "there is a little m&m in each of us" or something along those lines. The full commercial shows people doing things, and then shows the peopls as m&ms.

Jeeze. I always liked The The. Always liked Iggy, too. Same goes for the 5.6.7.8's. I guess it's getting to where I can't be too judgemental of a band for showing up in a commercial -- soon I'd be left with just a few bands too obscure to mention that I would be allowed to listen to. So much for my Indie Cred. Oh well. I guess this is what it means to grow up.
