Okay, for those of you back east, feel free to make fun of me for this post.
It's the start of a reallly nasty cold front coming through San Francisco and not only is it going to be cold, but windy. And when it gets windy here, there's really no trees to diffuse it, so it just gets pushed between the buildings just like in Manhattan. And with me working on one of the widest streets in the city and known for its wind tunnel effects, it's going to be nasty over the next few days. It's about 45 degrees right now and will probably hit the low fifties today, but tomorrow it might actually go down to 36 degrees--21 with the wind chill.
Sure, I should be used to that sort of weather, having grown up in New England, but living in a state where a heavy leather coat, snow boots and multiple layers are often not needed, I'm a little bit underprepared for it. So yeah, it's gonna be a COLD one.
Good thing Emm did prepare me with a toasty scarf and a few hats! :)

Date: 2007-01-11 05:14 pm (UTC)I actually had to turn the heat UP today when I got up, and there's a space heater on and at my feet.
Jeez, living in Cali has softened you, my friend! :p

Date: 2007-01-12 02:58 am (UTC)Not really...I think it's more that it's the shock of warm-warm-warm-COLD-warm-warm-F***ING COLD-warm-COLD-warm that is doing me in. At least back east it would start getting cold and STAY that way for a good couple of months. Once I get used to it, I'm fine. :p
