According to GMap Pedometer, we walked just shy of four miles today! Not bad, considering I'm not nearly as tired and worn out as I'd expected to be, and a lot of it was uphill (as is the norm here in this town). We crossed over to Lake Street where all the posh houses are, cut over 32nd and up Clement, where we walked all the way to the end (it changes to Seal Rock Road and ends at Fort Miley), cut over and checked out Sutro Heights again, and made our way back up Point Lobos/Geary, over 34th to Clement again, and down to Hard Knocks Cafe where we ate back all the calories we'd lost walking (okay, we weren't that bad, but their food is quite tasty), and now we're back home. Whew!

So now I'm heading back up and down the stairs again doing laundry, and Emm is preparing our collection of kale we'd bought at the Grande around the corner, as she is making a tasty dish she found online.

Other than that? Been quite the productive (if not writingwise) weekend, so I'm quite happy about that. :)

Hey [livejournal.com profile] head58...

What's the OS you have on your PC, and what version of that Reaper music software did you use with it?

Reason I ask, I downloaded it this afternoon, and now none of my USB ports want to read my thumb drive. Yeah, I know, weird-ass thing to go kerflooey, but this isn't the first time this PC has rendered something useless when I upload software (you know the Media Monkey drama I had a few months previous). I have Windows 7/64-bit, so I'm wondering if that's what you have and if you had the same issue.

EDIT: Okay, thanks to System Restore I can use my thumb drive again, but still...I really would like to know what happened and which version I probably should download so this doesn't happen again... *scratches head*

I'm now listening to 30 Seconds to Mars' This Is War, which I just downloaded from Amazon for $5. So yeah, I quite like it, but at the same time I can't help but think that if this album were a sentence, it would have about 8,542,436,001 exclamation points at the end of it.

Sort of like the items on Artur Boruc's Friday Rage List on the Yahoo Soccer Blog that [livejournal.com profile] emmalyon and I find hilariously funny at the end of each week. ;)
