Midday Postiness
Jun. 9th, 2008 11:29 amOkay, my subject headings are getting boring. I need to come up with better material. :p
Nothing too exciting happening on a VERY warm Monday morning here in SF...that is, warm in the sense that it's in the mid-60s and going up to low 70s, with no wind at all. And nary a cloud in the sky! :) Although I do feel bad for those of you back east who are suffering much nastier heat and nonfunctioning AC units. Believe me, I know how ya feel.
Amazingly enough, I'm not tired at all from the long walk
emmalyon and I took yesterday. It may have been just about two miles, but a good portion of it was downhill, some of it steep. Lotsa good pictures coming out of it, though...I'm actually kind of surprised that I took 56 pictures!!! I never take that many. Or should I say, I probably should start taking that many...I'm out of practice with the photography.
Other news...making good headway with the Love Like Blood 2nd revision. I'm already halfway through chapter 4, and averaging about three days per chapter. I should be done with the book by the end of the month, which means I can get it ready for the next round of submissions. Will keep everyone up to date on that over at
die_joncswerk when the time comes!
[Somewhat related:
emmalyon informed me yesterday that all the wines we have left are the Vampire wines and a bottle of mead. I'm saving at least one of those wines for when the book gets sold, of course... ;) In the meantime, looks like we'll have to head over to World Market or BevMo and replenish our stock!]
Also, I'm happy to say that a potential oopsie at work was already taken care of at work, so the annoyance and stress I felt on Friday after work is now gone. Let's just say if something went wrong, please don't tell me about it twenty minutes before I'm about to leave, and especially when the oopsie in question happened earlier in the morning!! Ah well. Life is good, can't complain now. :p
Now, back to work!
