Friday Morning Post

Looks to be another relaxing day...not too much happening workwise at the moment, not that I'm complaining. There are emails to work on, but they've already been claimed by other people. I'm also dealing with a mini-sideproject here, clearing out one of the filing cabinets that has some paperwork dating back to the beginning of this decade. Yeah, I think some of this can be shuffled off to archiving...

It's kind of funny, really...this filing thing I'm doing, kind of reminds me of my old job at PwC in Jersey, scanning stuff. Oh, if only it were true...I'd be cleaning up filing cabinets and goofing off on LJ all day. Sadly, my work ethic always gets the better of me and I will faithfully check the emails and work the runbook and whatnot.

I will say, though, that since coming to this department, my workday goes by SO MUCH FASTER than it did downstairs, or even at previous jobs. I think it's the fact that I'm not spending the entire day waiting for it to end. Good lord, does this mean I actually enjoy this job...??? O_O...

On tap for this weekend:
--shopping at the Daly City malls. We need some new clothes, I want a non-raincoat jacket, and I think we need to pick up more wine at BevMo.
--driving down to Pescadero to Duarte's again. Dang it, we just can't avoid that place...
--some hanging out at one of the parks. The weather is supposed to be BEEYOOOTIFUL this weekend.
--Library drop-off of books.
--Goodwill drop-off of other stuff (if we have time)
--a possible trip on Sunday to Green Apple Books on Clement...I've heard a lot of good stuff about it, and it also got a good write-up in this month's Writer's Digest.


Other than that, just looking forward to another relaxing weekend!
