Currently about 41 degrees here...yeah, I know, that's nothing compared to a damn cold day back east, but I'm gonna complain anyway...besides, the entire upper half of California is hovering just around the freezing mark at the moment, which is sort of creepy in a way.

Good thing my wife made me a warm scarf! :)

(ETA: Read the weather wrong...it's 28 degrees south of the city, maybe about 41 here...I can't reallly tell, but it feels colder...)

So Emm and I are walking through World Market down the street (and I'm quite surprised that the place is buzzin' with people), looking for some beer and another bottle of Vampire wine, when suddenly I hear:

"Oh my God, it's CHEESE!!! Look!! It's CHEESE!!!"

Both Emm and I turn around and find not only a mother but her daughter and son all going asquee and gawking at me--or rather, the "I like Choklit Milk!" Cheese shirt you gave me, and proceed to ply me with questions as to where they can buy said shirt.

As far as we knew, the shirt is limited so they were a bit sad that they couldn't buy it, but the effect itself was rather amusing...it was like saying "never mind the guy wearing it...it's CHEESE!" :p

Thought you'd enjoy that... :)

Okay, so our local alt.rock station Live 105 (think WFNX for you New Englanders) likes to preview some newish songs now and again, playing little soundbites inbetween the other songs (our should I say, "in between the Chili Peppers, Depeche Mode and Muse songs"), and I hear a song called "Jane is Fat" by Oh No Oh My. It sounds sort of like a Partridge Family with infinitely less talent and a Beach Boys bent.

Okay, two things:

1) I am now convinced that there have been no good new band names since 1997, with very few exceptions.

2) Good lord...[livejournal.com profile] head58 and I sounded better with our TFB stuff back in the early 90s than this shite. I kid you not.

I dare you to find them on Amazon or AllMusic.com and listen to it.
