Weekend Update
Nov. 12th, 2006 07:45 pmSaturday: Not too much exciting...picked up Emm from work and went grocery shopping afterwards. Found out that our local Safeway has the steepest ramp to the upper parking deck known to man. Spent quite a bit of money but saved a boatload too. Listened to some of our newer cds (Lady Sovereign's Public Warning which is quite amusing and fun, The Hold Steady's Boys and Girls in America which we both thought was very reminiscent of early Springsteen, and Barenaked Ladies' Are Me, which I found to be quite good. Future cds to buy: New Bowling for Soup!! :)
Sunday: Decided to take a trip down to Daly City again to do a Target/Home Depot/JoAnn Fabrics/etc. run, which we haven't done in a while. Found out that Home Depot has pretty much everything except the one thing you're looking for. Zipped over to JoAnn so Emm could pick up some more knitting-related things. Quick side trip to Best Buy and found out their selection in office chairs suck. Decided that all my office furniture ordering should probably go through Overstock.com so I won't have to spend insane amounts of money. Zipped down to Target, where we bought the bulk of our stuff, including a new laundry basket (thus finally retiring Emm's 12-yr old one which was beginning to crack and break), a new bookbag for me, and finally some fireplace tools. Oh, and we bought the 2006 Jones Soda Dessert Pack, which sounds a lot better than this year's Holiday pack. And a 4-pack of the Jones Egg Nog soda, which Emm says looks like, umm...well, pee. And what amuses me so is that someone is selling this stuff on eBay.
Plans for this week:
Throughout the week--more writing for me!
Friday--we both have it off and are going to have our oven fixed. Hopefully.
Coming weekend--possible trip to Half Moon Bay.
