(okay, the lyric is "Wednesday" but let's not be picky!)
It's almost 7am here and I just heard a foghorn across the bay. More noises! About ninety minutes ago the trash guys were doing their rounds and stopped by our place. One of the garages where the dumpster is is directly underneath our window, so hearing the CHUNK-CHUNK-CHUNK-CRASH-BAMF-FDONK-CHUNK-BOOF-BLUMF-BAM-DOOMP in full stereo made the morning just that more bearable. ;)
In other news, I found out why we weren't being paged for any packages or whatnot--WE'RE NOT FREAKING LISTED ON THE PAGING SYSTEM. Apparently the woman who set us up forgot to tell us to give the downstairs management our phone number so they can program it into the system. I was wondering why we hadn't heard anything. I talked to them yesterday so they should have it fixed sometime this morning. I hope! Because not only do I have some important UPS packages coming today but I also have the cable guy coming in to hook us up. Maybe I'll just have to keep an ear out for various trucks stopping underneath us and running down if I see a brownie truck or a Comcast truck.
*sigh*
On an up note, our apartment is looking more and more like an apartment now. The bookcases, the dvd shelves and the dining table are put together. Most all of the kitchenware among other things is put away. The only things left are the book and cd boxes and some storage tubs. And once we're hooked up for cable and DSL I'll be a very very happy man. :)
Oh--and further proof that I've got to lay off the hard stuff: last night I had a dream that Emm and I were hanging out and were good friends with Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton--also known as Ginger and Baby Spice from the Spice Girls. Why, I have no idea.
