Been a few days since I posted, don't really have much to say, but felt like posting. Such is my life. Sad, really...

Well, the snow has fallen (and now the rain follows)...it's beginning to look a lot like commuter hell season again. When leaving work yesterday, I was accosted by a friend who told me not to take Rt 5&10 (they're the same road, kids, for those who don't know) north, as there was a five car accident. Okay, so being the smart driver that I am, I know at least six different ways home. So I jump on I-91 and jump on 2 there. On the way I must have seen at least six or seven fender benders, some not too bad and others quite nasty. Something tells me that they'd happened mere minutes before the plows and sanders came by...then I get to the Wendell bridge, the home stretch. I'm stuck there for 20 minutes do to a spinout on the bridge and lack of plowing and sanding on the hill on the other side.

I have to give the plows and sanders props for getting out there and doing their job in treacherous conditions...but why is it that their timing is always off?!?? :p

According to my calendar, I have thirty days to finish Book 3 and the Eden Cycle is OVER!!! A trilogy that's taken me years to write is finally coming to a close. I started it on January 6th of this year, and I want to try to finish it before then. Mind you, this goal doesn't include the rewrite for it. It just means that the main bulk of the writing is FINALLY DONE!!! WHOOOOHOOOOO!!!!! :) :)

So what do I do after that?

Well...I've got a small batch of stories I can work on. Let's see what I have here...

Gabriel & Cassandra, a comedic vampire love story...
The Children of Dun Corran, my first foray into horror/fantasy, about children who survive beasties that have killed their entire village...
PSI-PD, a story (or a series of shorts) about a psychic detective agency...
Dreamweaver, a story about a college student whose nightmares become prophetic...
...and an untitled story about a street gang in a post-apocalyptic future.

More on these later...

Speaking of stories, I find it amusing that after writing an article for Vision (a writer's webzine) about not writing with an outline, I feel the need to work on the above stories with an outline. I've only done one once before, and that was ages ago when I didn't know I was making an outline (and for some reason thought doing so was cheating... :p ). Anyway! After the first of the year and after I finish Book 3 I'll sit down and go outline-crazy. I think I'll just do a whole bunch of them at once and see which one sounds like a lot of fun to write, and I'll do that one first. Until then, still slogging away...

umm....I think that's it, for now. More later as things arise...
