TV On the Radio, 'Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes'.

This album is so unlike anything I expected...and it's damn catchy. Think Air if they'd decided to drop the French pop and sounded exactly like Peter Gabriel fronting Wire while jamming with the Cure circa 'Seventeen Seconds'. Check out the song 'Dreams" in particular, the best track on there. This is one of those bands out of nowhere, like Interpol, who happen to release a jawdropping album. These guys aren't your typical alt.rockers...they're more like the songs you hear on college radio at 2 in the morning. Highly suggested buy!! :D
