Not Quite Writer's Block

I believe I am very close to finishing The Process of Belief, Book 3 of my Mihari trilogy. Probably 10-20k words left to go...which means I'd have it done some time in mid-to-late October if I kept at my usual rate of close to 1k a day. There's only one problem, though, and I feel like this third book is a piece of crap. Well, not all of it, but most of it. Maybe it's because this is the first one where I haven't completely read it in one go up to the point I'm at. I just haven't had the time, since I'm still re-reading Book 2 and reading and critiquing a novel for a friend from Forward Motion.
Maybe it's the fact that I've been working on this one for a few years now and to stop now would be stupid. Maybe it's that the entire trilogy is in need of a rewrite to fix all the loose ends I've missed. Maybe it's just that I've been working at it for too long and it's becoming tiresome. Either way, I'm having a hell of a time trying to get the damn thing finished. I know how it finishes, and I know what's going to happen, but it's just not coming out of me. *sigh*
Added to the fact that I'm also starting to work on the vampire novel as well. I believe I may just use an outline this time, as I'm sure that the time spent wracking my brain trying to write it would be drastically reduced. Looking back, I wish I'd done that with the trilogy, since the damn thing is so sprawling and involved that I'm finding a lot of inconsistencies.
Don't get me wrong, I do want to finish this to the point that I could publish it. No, I don't think it will end up a trunk novel (i.e., "Gee, my publisher wants something from me...hmm, this one's lying around, I'll send that."), as I've invested far too much time with it and I can still make it fresh.
Maybe once I finish it, then I'll let it sit for a while. A good, long while. Then I'll pick it up again, once I have a few more stories under my belt. In the meantime, I'll just plug away. Perhaps this Sunday when I have the time, I'll sit down and do out a timechart and figure out the plot for the vampire novel. I've already done that with the trilogy, I just need to tighten it up.
