(yes, that was an earworm for anyone who knows that Eric Carmen song...yes, I am EVIL.)

Took Emm off to the airport today, as she'll be on the East Coast on a business trip until Thursday. So yeah, it's gonna be just me here for a few days, so I suppose I should make sure that I keep up with the errands (read: do laundry, do shopping so I don't eat out/order out all week) and keep the place generally clean. Not too hard to do...

Another thing I think I'll start doing this coming week is to start gathering up information to get my budding freelance career on track. Which of course means getting all my published writing together (what little there is of it), as well as making some serious decisions as to what kind of field I should choose as my specialty. I'll most likely be a generalist at first (pretty much write whatever needs to get written, as long as the info I need is there for me to find), until I start making a name for myself.

So anyhoo, about to hunker down and watch some anime on Cartoon Network...it's the first time in three weeks that they're finally playing their shows rather than special movies! :) Yay, I get to watch Bobobo again!! :D

You're too good to be true.

After I had called home, one of my (female, married) coworkers asked me what he was doing while I was gone. I said, "Working on a business plan".

G'luck with the organizing! I really, really, need to do the same. Speaking of freelancing, have you checked out www.scribendi.com regarding editing? There are other online editing firms out there, but Scribendi seems to be one of the better organized. Doesn't pay a whole lot, but being able to do the editing at home is very nice!

That's one of the places I'm going to look into within the next few weeks. I figure, some random pocket money doesn't hurt, right? ;)

I'm thinking that my specialties are going to fall into the music/writing/creative stuff category, so that'll probably be my main aim, but I figure I could do some simple business writing as well if need be, just to keep it general and not pigeonhole myself.
