Tunage and Whatnot
Sep. 26th, 2006 09:11 pmYes, folks, it's time to start thinning out my cd collection. I've been threatening to do this for quite some time now (and did a rather massive purge back when I still lived with
lynxreign...), and I'm just now finally getting around to doing it.
The Rules Thus Far:
--If I'm questioning saving it, it's going, but not without ripping.
--If it's already ripped, it's going.
--If I definitely want it, it's staying with me.
--If it's Emm's, it's staying.
--See Rules 1 through 4.
The Plan:
--Sell the cds at either Rasputin or Amoeba, where I can get store credit
--Use said store credit to buy cds I want without breaking bank/amassing a Lynxie-esque collection.
--Prune to the point where there are no boxes of cds under the bed.
--Make it easier for the both of us to find and listen to our cds other than accessing my external drive.
I have to say I'm rather surprised at some of the titles I'm getting rid of...
And in other news, I find myself listening to my old LaunchCast station again. It's been awhile...don't know if I'll buy the subscription for it again, but at least it's still there for listening.
More soon...

what's the CD you're most suprised you're getting rid of?
what's the CD you're most embarrased about?
what's the CD you're listened to the least?
what's the CD you dislike the most?
Wow, it's like a meme or something.

Date: 2006-09-28 02:17 am (UTC)...not sure. I already did a purge before I left NJ, so most of the stuff I didn't want anymore is now in casa de Lynxie.
what's the CD you're most suprised you're getting rid of?
I'm contemplating getting rid of my Jesus Jones cds right now. I quite like them, I just don't listen to them often.
I was surprised when I left NJ that I got rid of my Belle & Sebastian cds, especially since I had damn near everything they came out with, including the then hard-to-find EPs. Still, I have it all on my drive so I'm not worried...
what's the CD you're most embarrased about?
That would be the Creed cds I had. Which are now at Lynxie's house, unless he burned them as a sacrifice.
what's the CD you're listened to the least?
Most of them, as I do most of my listening via my mp3 collection now...can't think of a specific title offhand...
what's the CD you dislike the most?
Oh, I got rid of those ages ago! :p
