I was looking at some of my older posts this morning, and I noticed a few posts about me being sick at one point or another. I came to the realization that since moving out here to San Francisco, I think I've only gotten really sick once. And that was some weird cough that I couldn't shake. Back east I'd get ill quite frequently...I think part of it was because a)I used to work at a very stressful job, b)pine pollen always does me in each year, and c)the temperature fluctuations always screwed with my health. Since then I've been feeling much better, with an occasional sniffle, but overall I've been feeling much better here.

Yeah when I lived in Missouri, they had a lot more pollen so I had extremely bad allergies there. My asthma was more likely to come up over there but when I moved to Chicago, all of it overall subsided. Only when seasons transition in, I get bad allergies >_<.

'Cause there are no temperature fluctuations in NoCal. :D

Well, when you consider that the temp fluctuates within a range of 30-40 degrees during the year, as opposed to 100+ back east.....

The proximity to the ocean might also be a factor as well. Salt air tends to be such a good element for allergy sufferers. But good observation on the temperature stability as well.

I've been feeling much better these last few days myself so, barring any freakish illnesses, I should be fine when y'all are here. Can't wait to see you both!!!

I was thinking that...although the air isn't nearly as salty as, say, New England's, it is more humid in a good way. I remember my allergies would hit me big time when it was exceedingly dry.

Cool to hear you're feeling better! Yay! :)

Don't worry, if you're a severe allergy sufferer, it'll just take a year or two for you to develop new allegies! See, I thought I had done with allergies when I left Virginia, but really I was just acquiring new ones. Different plant species, you know?

Still! It's good to have good health, but don't hesitate to firmly deal with any allergy symptoms if they return.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if I eventually got some weird allergy that I haven't had before....
