Sunday Roundup

Okay, after Thursday there wasn't much to report. Nothing weird happened on Friday (not even a peep out of chatty homeless people, as there are quite a few of them on Market), Saturday went off without a hitch, and today is looking to be fun.
Saturday Emm and I drove down to Target to pick up various stuff, including new stickies for the curtain rod hooks (I think the wooden bulbs on the ends of the rod are too big and caused the hooks to fall off the wall--we shall see about that), some drill bits which we thought we had but didn't, and an oscillating fan for me. The fan itself isn't so much for making the room cold as it's there to move the air around and dissipate the warm air. Seems to be working okay so far...
Today we're heading up to Washington Square (about four blocks away up Stockton) to the North Beach Festival. We'll be checking out all the crafty stuff as well as the drinky stuff (I sense a Rogue Chocolate Stout in the immediate future...). And two bits of entertainment-- Tony Gemignani, champion pizza thrower (we saw him on FoodTV not too long ago, quite impressive), and Tainted Love, a cover band who does only 80s tunes. Should be fun!
Also, I am quite happy to say that I did get a lot done yesterday, despite feeling as though I didn't. My shredding pile is now less than five inches thick, I moved/put away the pile of notebooks next to the bookshelf so Emm can put away our newer books, I put all of Rob's writings that I had into a report binder (I just need to buy a box and mail it out to him...which I should have done years ago), and today I hope to get laundry done and perhaps more straightening up/putting away of things.
Gabriel & Cassandra's summary is coming along nicely...I'm at Chapter 7, about halfway to where I'm presently at writingwise, which means I'm still on schedule. I hope I can finish this off by next week or so, as I need to get the thing in the mail a few days before July 1. Which means some heavy duty plotting for the last third which hasn't been written yet. And on a side note, I was told by the person in charge of the workshop that if the summary puts my wordcount over 7500, that it's okay and not to worry about it. As long as I have a decent story.
On that note, Happy father's day to
head58,
chaoticmoth,
space_mice,
wizardru,
cell23 and all the other LJ dads out there! And Happy Father's day to my dad too--thanks for everything! :)
