I am so stoked.

My friend Rob, who I hung out with during the Emerson years and haven't seen since summer 1995, is going to be in the neighborhood this weekend. He's visiting a few family members (one's in San Jose, the other here in SF down in Noe Valley), and I'll be hanging with him on Friday after I get out of work.

Rob, if you recall from the Radio Radio series, was one of the guys who lived down the hall from me in the Charlesgate dorm. He was the one who smoked Benson & Hedges cigarettes, was 1/3 at fault for the infamous (and sadly misplaced) 413 video, and is probably one of the best writer friends I've known.

Which reminds me--I have some of his stories. Methinks I'll have to find a Kinkos down on Market right quick and make some copies for him.

Man, this is so weird. Ten years. Damn, it's been too long.

Now, did you say "stoked" in your normal tone of voice or did you let it vibrate a little, separating the o-o-o-os a little bit, in true surfer sound? If you did the latter, then congratulations for speaking Cali-speak!!!
