First off, let me say that it's weird, and kind of sad in a way, that I'm not listening to music as much as I used to. I LOVED listening to music, going out to buy cds and stuff constantly, but due to budgetary constraints and personal decisions (not to worry, Emm, this was self-enforced) I haven't bought many new cds this year. Especially looking at the list of songs on my hard drive, where there's a significant drop in songs for each year (a few hundred in 2004, much less in 2005, and I haven't put any from this year yet). It just feels strange not to go out and buy cds willy-nilly anymore. But as soon as I get my music collection together again I'll probably start downloading more, as it's much cheaper. That, and once I go through the cds again and sell a good chunk of them at the local stores, I'll have a bit more to spend again.

Meanwhile, on the writing end of things, it still feels like I'm going slow with Gabriel & Cassandra, but after finishing Chapter 11, I think I'm further along than I think. I'll have to do another word count to see how far I've gotten. Last I did this was two chapters ago and I was surprised to see that I had about 41,000 words already--about halfway done. Not bad...not bad at all.

More later...back to work!

I was thinking about books and how I don't have time like I used to to just sit down and read a book straight through and that made me think of books that run multiple storylines and how it is easier to read them piecemeal because it is easier to come to natural stopping points.

Will yours be a sit down and read all at once book, or a pick up and put down, and pick up again, book?

If I do it right, it'll be the former. But I don't mind the latter. As long as it gets read! :)

Books. That which gives me joy, if not purpose! :D
