Is it Friday already? Hmm...this week went by faster than I'd expected...

So...much...walking...owww.....

So let's see--got the car Tuesday, the keys to the place yesterday, got the electricity bill switched over to us yesterday, got the phone turned on for us today (for those who wish to have our number, please email me and Emm or I will send it to you...), and our stuff should be arriving...

NEXT WEDNESDAY, DAMN IT. X( *grumblegrumblegrumble*

Well, either way. Things are going well so far. The apartment looks quite clean (looks like they gave the carpet a good shampooing and everything else looks nice), if a bit smaller than I'd expected. I think we'll have enough room, though. Shouldn't be a problem. What I did like about the management is that they gave us a checklist of things to go over, a sort of "it was like this when we got here" thing. I took pictures anyway with a disposable, just to have a visual record.

As for me, I've been looking for jobs online over the last few days, as well as contacting a few temp agencies, and even though I highly doubt I'll find any jobs before the end of the month, at least I'll have a headstart in looking for stuff. If all else fails, there's a Barnes and Noble right down the street from us (and it's BIG!) so I can drop off an application. I'm hoping I get a job at Viz Media, though...the place is at THE OTHER END OF MY BLOCK. Killer commute, eh? ;)

Later, kids! More to come...

Assistant Magazines Editor??? Is that the one you are applying for?

I have a friend who was interested in that sort of job and had done some research into it (but doesn't want to leave LA!) and she says that "editor" of a magazine or newspaper and "editor" of a comic book/graphic novel is very different. Sure, they have actual editing capabilities, but the visual one is more hands on with the visual part, too...

WOOOO!

Yeah, that's the one! Although if you look on the site itself they have other positions open too...
